Dr. Michael Kundi
Michael Kundi was born in 1950 in Vienna. Studied Psychology, Medicine and Mathematics at the University of Vienna and got his PhD at the University of Vienna in 1979 and obtained his habilitation in Epidemiology and Occupational Health from the Medical University of Vienna in 1989. He is since 2004 head of the Institute of Environmental Health of the Medical University of Vienna. He lectures at the Medical University of Vienna, the University of Vienna, the Danube University in Krems, and for several postgraduate courses. His research covers the whole range of epidemiological, clinical, field and laboratory experimental studies of environmental and occupational factors. He has published about 200 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is consulting editor for biostatistics of the International Archives of Allergy and Immunology, and member of editorial boards of several other journals. He is member of the vaccination committee of the Highest Health Council in Austria. He is head of the toxicology working group of the Indoor Pollution Committee of the Ministry for the Environment, and a member of the board of directors of the Austrian Committee on Noise Reduction. He is member of several standards committees, including the Committee on Electromagnetic Fields.
